Welcome to CAMOM
We are a non-profit support network for mothers and mothers-to-be of twins, triplets and higher order multiples in Central Maryland. Our members come from Howard and Carroll county as well as the surrounding Baltimore metro area. CAMOM is part of the National Organization of Mothers of Twins Clubs, Inc. (NOMOTC) and Mid-Atlantic Parents of Multiples (MAPOM) organizations.Our membership meets at 7:30 p.m. on the first Monday of each month at the Christ Episcopal Church in Columbia, MD.
EXPECTING MULTIPLES?
Our club provides support during the unique, unfamiliar, and sometimes bumpy experience of multiples pregnancy. We match expecting moms with a Big Sister who is an experienced mother of multiples and can answer your questions about preparing for your babies, and what to expect during your pregnancy and after bringing the babies home. Experienced moms host "Coping Coffees" for those who are expecting and those with new babies - yes, bring the babies! (other members are there to help, without their kids) We also help by providing meals for new moms, and loaning an extensive library of books pertaining to multiples pregnancy, general child care, and raising multiples. (During pregnancy is a great time to borrow and read!).
FOR ALL MEMBERS we host fun and informative programs for moms, moms' socials and dinners out, clothing/equipment consignment sales, same-age childrens' playgroups, and family parties. Program speakers have included nationally renowned published authors on child topics, prominent area physicians and other childcare professionals, childproofing and safety experts, and other non-child related topics too like organizing and women's health.
CAN'T MANAGE TO ATTEND EVENTS?
Our online forum and newsletter keep everyone "connected", and according to our members' feedback are top reasons to belong to CAMOM. Our forum covers childcare topics, special issues pertaining to caring for multiples, product and service recommendations, etc. Our monthly newsletter contains details of club activities, philanthropy opportunities, birth announcements, member spotlights, and informative articles.
